Piranha
These fresh water fish are a member of the Characidae family. Piranhas have very sharp teeth and a huge appetite. They are ravenous meat eaters. They will resort to cannibalism when 'times get rough'. These fish reside in the river basins of South America, Rivers of the Guyanas, in the Paraguay-Parana, and the Sao Francisco River systems.
Piranha teeth are often used to make tools and weapons. Piranhas are also eaten and sold in fishmarkets in the river basins.
