Plants of the Freshwater Biome
There is a variety of plant life present in freshwater biomes. There are a grand amount of plant species present in wetlands such as pond lilies, cattails, sedges, tamarack, cypress, and black spruce, while ponds and lakes typically are more abundant in algae. Since there is less light, there is less diversity of flora found in these areas.
