Fresh Water Biome
Freshwater ecosystems include lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams. Lakes are large bodies of water
surrounded by land. Ponds are the exact same except for the fcat that they are smaller bodies of water surrounded by land. Rivers and streams are moving bodies of freshwater. The water in rivers and streams generally come from things such as: Melting glaciers or ground water runoff. The water eventually flows into the ocean. The place where the salt and fresh water meet is known as an estuary.
